Undergraduate Research Assistant
Boston University, expected graduation: Spring 2025
I am a junior majoring in Health Science. My experience with research first began during my freshman year when I worked as an Intern for Olive Branch, a non-profit organization based in Houston, Texas, where we strengthen, support, and empower individuals and families through counseling, education, and social services. I was responsible for creating presentations on mental health topics to give to our adolescent patients, which is where I developed my interest in adolescent neurology and psychiatry.
I am excited to be a part of the Meyer Lab where my interest in behavioral neuroscience and fear conditioning and my knowledge of these subjects will be expanded. My research interests include psychiatric illnesses like anxiety, mood, and substance use disorders. Following graduation, I am on the pre-medical track, so I plan to apply to medical schools and work in research.
